Melissa completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne and went on to specialise in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, earning her Fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2025. Over the course of her training, Melissa has gained experience through working in some of Australia’s most renowned hospitals, including Monash Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and Austin Health.

Melissa works as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Monash Health, including Monash Children’s Hospital. She has a special interest in skin cancer management, paediatric plastic surgery, trauma and reconstructive microsurgery. She is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Melissa is currently undergoing a subspecialty fellowship in congenital hand surgery at the Children's Hospital of Soochow University in Suzhou, China.
