Dr. Michal Amir is a specialist gynaecologist with a subspecialty and significant expertise in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, treatment of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.

After working overseas for many years as a consultant gynaecologist, she completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in Monash Medical Centre, VIC. She has gained vast surgical experience in Australia and overseas and leads the laparoscopic surgery services and centre for endometriosis at Hillel Yaffe Medical Centre, Israel.

Dr Amir is one of the few female Gynaecologists in Melbourne able to perform advanced laparoscopic surgery with high complexity.

I do this using the knowledge and practical experience I have acquired over the years, as well as my female sensitivity.“

Michal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and a member of the Australasian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (AGES).

Michal has worked overseas and is multilingual. In addition to English, she is fluent in Hebrew and is proficient in Arabic.
