Mr Pham graduated from the University of Melbourne’s Medical  School in 1991 and had his general surgical and urological training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre from 1992 to 2000. In 2001 he undertook further urological research and medical student teaching as a Urology Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and an Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland’s Medical School Brisbane. The following year he gained both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Foundation Travelling Fellowship and the Urological Society of Australasia’s Travelling Scholarship enabling him to spend time at the Institute of Urology in London.

Mr Pham has been a consultant urologist at Monash Health for more than 12 years.  He is a general urologist in private practice in the South East region with a special interest in urological Holmium laser surgery for benign prostatic enlargement, urinary tract calculi, urothelial cancer and strictures.  He is one of a few urological surgeons in Australia with extensive experience in the procedure of Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate (HoLEP): he has been doing HoLEP at Monash Health since 2003.  HoLEP is now becoming the gold standard in the surgical treatment for bladder outflow obstruction due to benign prostatic enlargement.
