Dr Wong understands the overwhelming nature of receiving a positive diagnosis and preparing for surgery. He recognizes the anxiety and uncertainty that can accompany such decisions, especially for those facing surgery for the first time. Dr Wong’s mission is to make this journey less daunting for his patients. He approaches each patient interaction with care and compassion and takes the time to thoroughly explain each treatment option. At any stage of the process, he is dedicated to offering detailed answers and guidance to alleviate his patients’ concerns and provide them with the reassurance they need. Dr. Wong is committed to providing personalised support, addressing any doubts or questions his patients may have about their treatment plan. He ensures that patients understand the benefits and risks associated with each option and empowers them to make informed decisions with confidence.

A graduate of the University of Melbourne’s medical program, Dr Wong completed his surgical residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, followed by advanced training in General Surgery at Austin Hospital. During this time, he pursued further education, enhancing his skills by obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Applied Anatomy by Dissection and a Masters of Traumatology. He received his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and further honed his expertise with specialised training in Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and General Surgical procedures at the Northern Hospital.

Dr Wong has been appointed at Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital (part of Monash Health) where he is currently serving as a consultant in the Acute General Surgical Unit. He also divides his time between Noble Park Endoscopy Centre and Mulgrave Private Hospital where he provides consultation and performs surgical procedures.
