Mr Vignesh Narasimhan is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Mulgrave Private Hospital.

Vignesh studied medicine at the University of Otago in New Zealand, finishing with a Distinction in Surgery. He subsequently trained in Melbourne, completing his general surgery training at the Alfred hospital. Following this, he completed subspecialty training with the highly competitive colorectal training program (CSSANZ) at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Monash Health. Most recently Vignesh completed an advanced colorectal oncology and robotics fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, one of the most prestigious cancer centres in the world.

Mr Narasimhan remains actively involved in clinical research, and has published over 50 peer reviewed publications, and multiple book chapters. He completed his PhD at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, focusing on colorectal cancer and peritoneal disease. His PhD thesis won the medal for best PhD, with his research being awarded numerous travel awards, prizes and scholarships, including the Tour De Cure Cancer Scholarship and NHMRC Post Graduate scholarship. Vignesh has received over $1.3 million in research grants.
